Glossary
Plain-English definitions of the terms and statuses used across the website and admin portal.
General terms
Storefront / customer website — the public shop where customers browse and order.
Admin portal — the private, staff-only console for running the shop.
Fulfilment — how an order reaches the customer: collection (pickup) or delivery.
Slot — a bookable time window for collection or delivery, with a limited capacity.
Weight band — a fixed size a cut is sold in, such as 500 g or 1 kg.
Preparation option — a choice on a product, such as mincing or bone in/out, sometimes with a surcharge.
Reservation / hold — a temporary claim on stock and a slot (30 minutes) while a customer pays.
Allocation — the amount of a product the shop has published as available for a given day.
Reserved — the part of an allocation already claimed by confirmed orders.
Remaining — allocation minus reserved: what is still buyable.
Order statuses
Awaiting approval — a (usually pay-on-collection) order waiting for staff to approve.
Confirmed — an approved / paid order, committed and queued for its slot.
Rejected — an order staff declined; its stock and slot are released.
Cancelled — an order that will not proceed.
Fulfilment stages
Scheduled — confirmed and queued for its slot.
Preparing — staff are cutting and packing it.
Ready — ready for collection, or ready to go out for delivery.
Out for delivery — a driver is delivering it.
Collected — the customer has picked it up.
Delivered — it has been delivered.
Payment statuses
Paid — payment has been received.
Unpaid — no payment yet (for example a pay-on-collection order).
Refunded — money has been returned to the customer.
Deposit — a part-payment recorded against an order.
Customer trust
New — a recent customer with little history.
Trusted — a reliable customer.
Restricted — a customer being limited, for example after repeated no-shows.
No-show — an order the customer failed to collect.
Channels & assistant
Channel — a way customers reach the shop: the web chat, WhatsApp or the voice line.
Can answer — the switch that lets the AI assistant reply to customers.
Can take orders — the switch that lets the assistant help place orders (needs "Can answer" on).
Suppression / do not contact — the list of customers who have opted out of being messaged.
Behind the scenes
Activity log — the audit trail of every action, with who, when and why.
Media storage — where product and site images are kept; photos upload there through a secure, time-limited link.
Two-factor (MFA) — the second sign-in step: a six-digit code from an authenticator app, required alongside the password for the admin portal.
