Customer website overview

What your customers see on the public website and the pages that make up the shopping journey.

The customer website is the public shop. Anyone can browse it; customers do not need an account to place an order (an account is optional and simply saves their details). This section walks through every part of the customer experience.

The shopping journey at a glance

Find a product

Browse the shop, filter by category, or search by name. See Finding products.

Build the order

On a product page the customer chooses a weight, any preparation options (mincing, bone in/out, and so on) and an optional note. See The product page.

Review the basket

The basket lists everything chosen, with quantities and a running subtotal. See The basket.

Checkout

The customer picks collection or delivery, a date and slot, enters contact (and delivery) details, then pays. See Placing an order.

Confirmation & tracking

They get an order number and can follow its progress. See Payment & confirmation and Tracking orders.

Information pages

Alongside shopping, the site has a set of read-only pages customers use to answer their own questions:

  • About / Visit / Contact — the shop's story, address, opening hours and a postcode delivery checker.
  • Delivery & Collection — how fulfilment works and the key rules.
  • FAQ — common questions answered.
  • Terms, Returns, Privacy, Cookies — the legal and policy pages.
  • Blog, Recipes, Gallery, Reviews — content that builds trust and helps customers cook what they buy.

These are covered where relevant in Help & support and Rules customers see.

Everything a customer does is designed to be possible on a phone. The layout, menus and buttons all adapt to small screens.
