Tracking orders
How customers follow an order's progress, with or without an account.
Every order has a live tracking page showing its current stage.
The stages an order moves through
As staff work on the order in the admin portal, the tracking page updates:
| Stage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Preparing | Staff are cutting and packing the order. |
| Ready | It is ready for collection, or ready to go out for delivery. |
| Out for delivery | A driver is delivering it (delivery orders only). |
| Collected / Delivered | The order has been handed over. |
These stages are set by staff as they advance the order. See Managing orders for the staff side.
Tracking without an account
A customer does not need an account to track an order. After checkout, their device remembers the order so they can reopen the tracking, confirmation and receipt pages directly.
Tracking with an account
Signed-in customers get more. Under Account → Orders they can:
- See a list of all past and current orders
- Open any order for full details and its status timeline
- Open the receipt
See Accounts for everything an account offers.
Assisted orders (phone / chat)
If an order was started for the customer over the phone or chat, they may receive a payment link to a review-and-pay page. It shows the order summary and lets them pay online. These links can expire; if one has, the page explains it and shows the shop's phone number so the customer can get a fresh link.
