Finding products
Browsing the shop, using categories and collections, searching, filtering and sorting.
Customers reach products in four ways: browsing the shop, opening a category, searching, or opening a curated collection.
The shop page
The Shop page shows every available product as a grid of cards. Each card shows:
- The product photo
- The product name
- The starting price (the price of its smallest weight band)
- A category label
- An availability label — "Available today", "Selling fast" (low stock) or "Sold out today"
- A star rating (if the product has reviews)
- A heart button to save it as a favourite (requires signing in)
What 'unavailable' means
A greyed-out product is one the shop has not put stock against for the day, or has sold out. Customers can still see it, but cannot add it to the basket.
Categories
Products are grouped into categories (for example chicken, lamb, beef, mutton). Customers open a category to see only those cuts. Categories appear in the top menu and the mobile menu drawer.
Collections
Collections are curated bundles or themed groups the shop puts together — for example a barbecue box or a gift set. They live under Shop → Collections, and each collection has its own page listing the products inside it.
Search
A search box lets customers type a product name. As they type (two letters or more), a short predictive list of matches appears beneath the box. Pressing enter opens the full results page.
Filtering and sorting
On the shop and category pages, customers can narrow and reorder the grid:
- Category — limit to one type of meat.
- Availability — Any, In stock, Low stock, or Unavailable.
- Price — Under £10, £10–£20, or £20 and over.
On phones these appear in a Filters drawer with a Clear all button.
Empty results
If a search or filter combination matches nothing, the page explains there are no results and offers a link back to the full shop. When a whole section is not set up yet (for example collections), the customer sees a friendly "nothing here yet" message with a link to browse everything.
Next
Once a customer opens a product, they build their order on the product page.
