Admin portal overview
The private staff console — what it is, how it is organised, and how permissions and audit logging work.
The admin portal is the private, staff-only console for running the shop. It is a separate website from the customer shop, protected by a password and a second security step. From here staff handle orders, stock, the catalogue, delivery slots, customers, finance, website content and messaging.
How the portal is organised
The left sidebar groups everything into sections:
| Section | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Today | The dashboard overview of the day. |
| Operations | Orders, collection & delivery slots, stock, and the activity log. |
| Shop | Products, categories, collections, preparation options, customers, finance. |
| Website | Home page content, blog, reviews, product questions, newsletter and more. |
| Messages | Web chat, WhatsApp and the voice assistant, plus callbacks. |
| Settings | Shop policies, the assistant's knowledge base, and security. |
The top bar has a search / command menu (press Ctrl/⌘ + K), a light/dark toggle, and your account menu with Sign out.
Permissions
Not every staff member sees every section. Access is controlled by permissions grouped by area — for example order handling, stock, catalogue, finance, content, messaging and settings. A staff member only sees the parts of the portal they are allowed to use. The shop owner has full access.
Everything is logged
Every meaningful action — approving an order, changing stock, editing a policy, changing a customer's trust — is recorded in the activity log with who did it, when, and why. See Activity log.
