Activity log

The audit trail of everything that happens in the shop, and how to search it.

Operations → Activity log is the shop's audit trail. Every meaningful action — by staff, by the system, or through an integration — is recorded here.

What each entry shows

  • When it happened (London time)
  • Who did it — a staff member, the system, or an automated process
  • What the action was (for example approved, updated, refunded)
  • Which thing it affected (for example a specific order or product)
  • Why, where a reason was given (for example a rejection reason or a trust note)

Searching the log

Filter by the type of thing (for example orders or products) and by the action (for example created, updated, approved) to find exactly what you need.

Why it matters

The activity log is how you answer "who changed this, and when?" — for a refund, a stock change, a rejected order, or a customer's trust status. Because the required reasons on sensitive actions are stored here too, there is always a clear record of not just what changed, but why.

The dashboard's Failed background events signal links here, so you can see if any behind-the-scenes task (like sending a notification) did not complete.
