Website content
Editing the public home page, blog, recipes and giveaways, and moderating reviews, questions and the newsletter.
The Website section lets you edit what customers see on the public site — without touching any code — and moderate the content customers submit.
Home page editor
Website → Home page edits every section of the public home page. Each block has its own small form with text fields and image uploads, and saves on its own. Blocks include:
- Hero banner — headline, subheading and background image (its button text and link live in a separate "Main banner extras" block)
- Announcement bars — the strip at the very top (for example a sale message)
- Opening hours and contact details
- Offers and a separate welcome offer for first-time visitors
- Info strip (for example "Free delivery over £20")
- Delivery checker labels
- How it works steps
- Category tiles and best sellers to feature
- Standards / quality claims, testimonials and FAQ
- Gallery, newsletter signup prompt, recipes preview and a Visit us section
Changes appear on the live site shortly after saving. Keep headlines short and images good quality — they are the first thing customers see.
Blog and recipes
- Blog — write posts with a title, content, featured image and publish date; keep them as draft or publish them.
- Recipes — publish recipes with ingredients (entered as free text) and method. Each recipe on the storefront links to the shop so customers can go and buy the cuts — it does not tag specific products.
Moderating what customers submit
Customers can leave reviews and ask questions on product pages. Nothing appears publicly until you approve it here.
- Customer reviews — see pending reviews with their star rating; approve or reject each. Approved reviews then show on the product page (marked Verified purchase when they came from a real order).
- Product questions — read customer questions, write the shop's answer, and publish. The answer appears under the question on the product page.
Reviews are genuine
Because reviews come only from real, signed-in customers and are moderated here, the shop can honestly say its reviews are not bought or filtered.
Newsletter, giveaways and questionnaires
- Newsletter signups — see subscriber counts, filter by source or status, and export the list.
- Giveaways — run a contest: set it up and collect the entries (choosing the winner is done outside the admin).
- Questionnaires — create short post-order surveys (for example "How was your order?") and view the responses, which also appear on the relevant order.
