Daily stock
Publishing how much of each cut is available for a date, and reading the availability table.
Operations → Stock controls what customers can actually buy. Stock is set per product, per day — so a busy Saturday and a quiet Tuesday can hold different amounts, and yesterday's numbers never leak into today.
Why this matters
The customer website only offers what you have published here. If a cut has no stock for a day, it shows as unavailable and cannot be ordered for that day. New products and days start at zero until you publish stock.
Publishing stock
On the left is the publish form:
Pick the product
Choose any product from the dropdown.
Pick the date
Choose the fulfilment date (defaults to today, London time).
Enter the quantity
Enter how much is available — in grams for weight-sold cuts, or units for items sold each.
(Optional) Set a low-stock warning
Enter the number at which the cut should be flagged as "low". Leave it blank to use the shop's default.
Publish
Publish allocation saves it. The product becomes buyable for that date up to the amount you set.
Reading the availability table
On the right, the table lists every product with stock for the selected date:
- Remaining — what is left (what you allocated, minus what orders have reserved).
- Reserved — how much confirmed orders have already claimed.
- Status — a badge: available (green), low (with the warning threshold), or sold out (red).
You do not set "available" or "sold out" directly — the system works it out from your allocation minus what has been reserved. To make more available, publish a higher number.
A daily habit
Publishing stock each morning (or the night before) for the day's cuts is the core daily routine. The dashboard and the Needs attention figure will flag anything running low so you can top it up.
