Collection & delivery slots
Creating and managing the time windows customers book, generating slots in bulk, capacity, and delivery pricing.
Operations → Collection & delivery controls the time windows customers can book. If there are no slots, customers cannot order — so keeping slots stocked ahead is essential.
The slots table
Each slot row shows the date, the method (collection or delivery), the window (label and time range, for example "Morning 09:00–12:00"), its capacity (reserved out of total), and whether it is active.
Generating slots in bulk
The Generate 90 days button creates three months of slots ahead in one go, using the shop's standard pattern of windows. This is the easy way to keep the calendar full.
Keep slots topped up
The system warns you when fewer than 14 days of slots remain, and shows a stronger alert if you hit zero — at which point customers cannot book at all. When you see the warning, click Generate again.
This needs to run regularly
Slots are a finite list, so someone (or a scheduled job) must keep generating them. Treat "generate more slots" as a recurring task, not a one-off — otherwise the calendar quietly runs out.
Creating a single slot
New slot creates one custom window: pick the date, the method, the start and end times, a label, the capacity, and whether it is active.
Editing a slot
You can edit an existing slot's label, capacity and active state. The date, method and times are fixed once created — to change those, make a new slot and deactivate the old one.
Lowering a slot's capacity below what is already booked will not cancel existing orders — it just stops new bookings once the higher number is reached.
Delivery pricing
Delivery fees, the free-delivery threshold and the maximum delivery distance are set on the dedicated Delivery pricing page (Operations → Collection & delivery → Delivery pricing), including distance-based fee tiers. The customer sees the resulting fee — or free delivery — in their order review. See also Shop rules & limits.
